Once again, we are celebrating the loveliest time of year- berry season! I can't help but think of last year's berry season and how much fun it was to watch the then one year old enjoy the harvest for the first time. I think she loves it just as much this year.
This year the little girl reminds me of Little Sal. The berries go "kerplink, kerplank, kerplunk" into her bucket, then she reaches in and eats them all.
Two older ones comparing harvests.
This boy is a fan of posed photos. "Take a picture of me eating a berry!"
This one is not a set-up. I tried to take a picture of her with the black raspberry haul just as she spotted our big neighborhood hawk for the first time. Her eyes are as wide as the owl's!
We saved some of yesterday's berries to make a crisp today, but still finished off a few more when we got back into the house. The way little kids so thoroughly enjoy their food is just beautiful.

We love berry season. It is just getting started here, so excited!!!!

G's face is pretty priceless in that pic. We have a hawk too, his name is "Pearce" and he's (or maybe it's a she?) is very noisy. Jealous of all your yummy berries.
